BJJ Psychology: Think Positive Under Pressure
We like science at BishopBjj.com, and that’s why we don’t like to bring you much content without scientific validation. The exercise and principles listed in the video above are validated in the science of Positive Psychology. Positive Psychology basically is the science of what is “right” with you. In this case we ask, “how can we think more positive under pressure”? Researchers found that the Gratitude Exercise could actually help individuals begin to identify more positive elements in their life if it was performed everyday for 6 weeks.
How to do the Gratitude Exercise:
- Write down 3 things you are grateful everyday for 6 weeks
- Notice any time during this period where you recognize yourself looking at things more positively
- Don’t stop at 6 weeks, if you experience success with this, we recommend continuing the exercise as a permanent addition to your daily routine.
